On November 13, 2020 at approximately 8:30 a.m., Officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Jason Smith (25 years of age, of 133 Smith Ln, Jonesborough, TN) charging him with Aggravated Domestic Assault, Simple Assault, and Resisting Arrest.
Officers were dispatched to 2 Mel Circle Apartment 7 where a female victim stated that Mr. Smith had threatened to kill her with a knife before stabbing her on the foot. When Officers went to arrest Mr. Smith, he resisted and struggled with Officers and was taken into custody shortly after.
Mr. Smith is being held at the Washington County Detention Center in lieu of a $10,000 bond with an arraignment set for 11/16/2020 at 1:30 p.m. in Washington County Sessions Court.
