On 6/11/20, the Johnson City Police Department arrested Joshua David Thweatt and charged him with auto burglary, theft under $1,000 and credit card fraud.
The arrest comes as a result of an investigation into an auto burglary that occurred on 2/2/20 at 425 W Maple St Johnson City. The victim reported various credit cards among the stolen property. The victim suffered subsequent credit card fraud charges the following day at multiple businesses within Johnson City. Video obtained from one of these businesses aided in in determining the perpetrator as Joshua Thweatt.
Thweatt was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $1,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 10:30 a.m. on 6/12/20 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
