On 05/18/2020, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Joduntis D. Robinson (2700 Gray St., 39 years old) and charged him with Convicted Felon in Possession of Handgun.
At approximately 6:20 p.m., officers were dispatched to 2700 Gray St. in reference to a domestic assault. Upon arrival I made contact with the victim who stated that her ex-husband, Mr. Robinson, choked her and then struck her with a baseball bat. The victim stated that she was in a verbal argument with her ex-husband when he pushed her to the ground and choked her. After running to a bedroom, she states he then choked her once again and struck her in the hand with a baseball bat.
Mr. Robinson was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 05/19/2020 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
