On 12/04/2019, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Mason E. Compton 207 E. Myrtle Ave, 25 years old and charged him with aggravated burglary.
On 12/03/2019 at 1:00 pm, officers responded to an address on Wilson Avenue in reference to a burglary. Officers were advised by the victim that Mr. Compton, her ex-boyfriend, had entered her residence without invitation. She advised that he began vandalizing her property with a baseball bat. After vandalizing the victim’s property he then swung the baseball bat toward her, stopping just short of hitting her. Mr. Compton took property and fled the scene before officers arrived.
Police located Mr. Compton at 207 E. Myrtle Ave where he was placed under arrest for aggravated burglary. He was transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $5,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 12/05/2019 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
