On 11/6/2019, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Jerry M. Fitzgerald (257 Mockingbird Ln, 43 years old) and charged him with Criminal Simulation.
At approximately 10:50 a.m., officers were dispatched to 1710 W. Market St. McDonalds. The investigation revealed that Mr. Fitzgerald attempted to pay for food that he ordered at this establishment with a counterfeit $100 bill. Once Fitzgerald was taken into custody by officers it was discovered that he had a second $100 counterfeit bill in his wallet.
Fitzgerald was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $2,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 11/7/2019 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
