On 10/18/19 officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Kellye F. Moya (1915 E Myrtle Ave. 30 years old) and charged her with Burglary of a motor vehicle.
On 09/27/2019 at 7:10 am officers responded to the Scotchman at 1101 E Unaka Ave. in reference to a possible burglary. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim who stated that a white female had entered his truck and had taken several items. Officers reviewed video footage from the store and were able to identify the suspect as Kellye F. Moya due to several previous encounters. A warrant for her arrest was subsequently taken out later that day.
On 10/18/19 at approximately 7:50 P.M. officers, on patrol in the area of E Myrtle Ave. and Steel St., observed Ms. Moya exit a vehicle and walk inside a residence. Officers made contact with Ms. Moya and she was placed under arrest. She was transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where she is being held in lieu of a $5,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 pm on 10/21/2019 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
