On 9/27/19, officers of the Johnson City Police Department, with the assistance of the Washington County Sheriff’s Department, arrested Gary L. Barnett (46 years old) and charged him with aggravated assault (domestic).
On 8/18/19, at approximately 7:00 p.m., officers responded to a domestic disturbance at 3 East Ridge Ct. The investigation revealed that Barnett used a piece of broken glass to cut the victim during an argument. When the victim called 911, Barnett ran on foot. The victim was treated at the scene and an arrest warrant was issued for Barnett.
On 9/27/19, Barnett was located at 139 Elliott and Scott Circle and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $5,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 9/27/19 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
