On 9/14/19, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Misty L Whitaker (331 Jacobs Rd, Morristown, 37 years old) and charged her with Shoplifting, Criminal Trespassing, and Identity Theft.
On 9/14/19, at 2:40 P.M., officers responded to Walmart for a reported shoplifting. While attempting to identify Mrs. Whitaker she provided a TN Identification Card and Social Security Card that did not belong to her. It was determined that a false identity had been provided when it was determined that the female she claimed to be was currently incarcerated. It is believed that Mrs. Whitaker used the false identification to prevent officers from finding an outstanding warrant from Jefferson County. Mrs. Whitaker was also found to have previously trespassed from all Walmart properties.
On 9/14/19, Misty Whitaker was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where she is being held in lieu of an $11,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 P.M. on Monday, September 16, 2019 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
