On 09/03/19, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested 21 year old Jacob Stephens, 236 Shenandoah Drive, Johnson City, and charged him with one count of burglary.
The arrest resulted after an investigation into the burglary of Liberty Bell Middle School, 718 Morningside Dr., Johnson City. Officers began an investigation and were able to determine Mr. Stephens was the person who entered the building on 09/02/19. While Mr. Stephens was in the building he took two computer towers and various computer parts. Mr. Stephens was located on 09/03/19 by officers and was in possession of the items reported missing. He was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he is currently being held in lieu of a $5000 bond. An arraignment is scheduled for Wednesday, 09/04/19, at 1:30 p.m., in Washington County General Sessions Court.
