On 8/23/19, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Jeremy Schmaltz (2453 Mint Hill Rd. 38 years old) and charged him with domestic aggravated assault.
At approximately 8:25 a.m., officers responded to a domestic disturbance at 2453 Mint Hill Rd. The victim stated that her boyfriend had allegedly choked her after an argument. Mr. Schmaltz was on scene and admitted to choking her during the altercation.
Mr. Schmaltz was then transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he is being held in lieu of a $2,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Washington County General Sessions Court on August 26, 2019 at 1:30PM.
