On 7/9/2019, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Kaitlyn Anderson, 26 years old, 114 E. Chilhowie Ave., and charged her with Criminal Simulation.
At 7:30 pm, officers responded to Dollar General, 1121 N. Roan St., in reference to a female attempting to pass counterfeit currency. The complainant advised Ms. Anderson had given him two $20 bills determined to be counterfeit. She consented to a search of her purse where officers located additional counterfeit currency.
Ms. Anderson was placed under arrest for Criminal Simulation. She was transported to the Washington County Detention Center where she is being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 pm on 7/10/2019 in Washington County Sessions Court.
