On 06/22/2019, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Joseph D. Morris (420 Lamont St., 41 years old) and charged him with Possession of Marijuana for resale, Possession of Methamphetamine for resale, and Possession of Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia.
At approximately 12:55 a.m., officers responded to a report of a male and female arguing in the parking lot at 2700 W. Market St. (Johnson Inn). During the investigation, Mr. Morris was discovered to have an active arrest warrant out of Carter County. Officers took him into custody and during a search incident to arrest, located 3.4 grams of methamphetamine, 4.2 grams of marijuana, digital scales and unlawful drug paraphernalia on his person.
Mr. Morris is currently being held in the Washington County Detention Center on a $12,000 bond with arraignment set for Monday June 24th, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. in Washington County General Sessions Court.
