On 4/16/19, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Denzel O. Medina (1032 Gray Station Rd, 19 years old) and charged him with embezzlement.
At 3:21 p.m. officers responded to JC Penney in the Johnson City Mall in reference to an employee that was observed stealing items and processing fraudulent returns for a total of $1,422.49. During the investigation Denzel Medina admitted to the theft.
Medina was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he is being held in lieu of $5,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 4/17/19 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
