On 1/26/19, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Zackery S. Toney (1308 E Lynwood Cir, 24 years old) and charged him with reckless endangerment and evading arrest.
At approximately 3:30 a.m., officers responded to an unknown disturbance at Downtown Square. Upon arrival, officers witnessed a vehicle striking, then dragging a female. First officer on scene attempted to stop the vehicle. At this time, defendant refused, struck other pedestrians, nearly struck the officer, and evaded arrest, fleeing the scene toward Buffalo St.
Police located defendant driving south on Buffalo St. and conducted a traffic stop. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held on a $10,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 1/28/19 in Washington County General Sessions Court
