On 12/24/18, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Troy Wilder (1303 N Barton St., 34 years old) and charged him with Identity Theft.
At approximately 6:10 a.m., officers responded to 1512 Riddell St in reference to a suspicious vehicle that had been sitting outside of the parking lot for quite some time. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Mr. Wilder. When asked for identification, he gave officers a name and date of birth that matched a subject that he did not resemble. During the investigation, it was discovered that Mr. Wilder had provided officers with his brother’s information in order to hide his true identity due to several outstanding warrants.
Mr. Wilder was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he is being held in lieu of a $5,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 12/26/18 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
