On 11/27/18, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Christopher Allen Blevins (106 Skyline Dr. Elizabethton, 45 years old and charged him with two counts of attempted First Degree Murder and two counts of Reckless Endangerment.
The arrest is the result of an investigation into a report of a shooting that occurred at 115 Mulberry St. #27 Johnson City at approximately 2:25 am on the morning of 11/27/2018. Upon arrival, officers located two victims. One of which had three to four gunshot wounds and several lacerations. A second victim had one gunshot wound to the abdomen and lacerations. After a further investigation, it was found that Mr. Blevins went to the apartment to confront one of the victims over an ongoing dispute involving a female acquaintance. A physical altercation ensued between Blevins and three of the occupants of the residence. This resulted in Blevins firing several shots inside the apartment and striking two victims and also cutting one of those victims with a pocketknife. Both victims are expected to survive their injuries and were transported to the Johnson City Medical Center for treatment.
Mr. Blevins is currently being held in the Washington County Detention Center in lieu of a $100,000 bond and is scheduled for an arraignment on 11/28/18 at 1:30 p.m. in Washington County General Sessions Court.
