On 11/18/18, Officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Michael McMahan, a 50 year old male of 1500 Bell Ridge Rd. and charged him with Aggravated Assault, and Aggravated Burglary.
Officers were dispatched to Cherry Hill apartments on Bell Ridge Rd. in reference to a Burglary in Progress. Upon Arrival, the Victim said that a white male he was familiar with had knocked on his door. When he opened the door, the suspect, also a resident of Cherry Hill Apartments in Johnson City Tennessee pushed his way inside of the victim’s apartment wielding a large black knife. The victim sustained several lacerations to his left hand during the altercation.
After Officers canvased the area, the suspect Michael McMahan was found inside of another neighbor’s apartment. A positive Identification was made by the victim, so the defendant was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Detention Center to be lodged under these charges. The arraignment is scheduled for Monday 11/19/2018 at 1:30 pm in the Washington County Sessions Court.
