On 4/6/17, the Johnson City Police Department arrested Terry McDavid Shepherd (31 years old, 1001 Circle Dr., Elizabethton) on charges of Aggravated Burglary and Theft Under $1,000.
On 3/23/17, the resident at 1 Red Fern Circle reported a burglary in which the suspect had entered the garage portion of the home and took his backpack blower valued at $500. This incident had similarities to several others that had occurred in Johnson City and Washington County over a span of several weeks. Information was sought from law enforcement and the public and tips led to the development of Shepherd as a suspect. On 4/6/17 investigators with Johnson City Police Department, Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Elizabethton Police Department located Shepherd, his vehicle and other corroborating evidence in an outbuilding at his listed address in Elizabethton.
0n 4/6/17, Shepherd was arrested and subsequently booked into Washington County Detention Center in lieu of $21,000 bond and was scheduled for arraignment on 4/10/2017 at 1:30 p.m. in Washington County Sessions Court.
