On 03/02/2018, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Justin K. Fleenor (359 Spangler Rd, Piney Flatts, TN 37686, 26 years old) and charged him with one count each of DUI 1st, Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Handgun While Intoxicated, and Failure to Comply With Financial Responsibility.
The arrest stems from the result of an investigation into a report of a reckless driver in the area of Bristol Hwy near the Vehicle dealerships. A witness stated that the vehicle was traveling on the wrong side of the highway against traffic. Upon arrival into the area, officers observed a gold Ford Taurus driving erratically. Just when officers were positioning to stop the vehicle it swerved off the roadway and crashed into the front gate at Champion Chevrolet. When officers stopped and attempted to make contact with the driver he placed the vehicle in reverse and crashed into a police vehicle directly behind him. Officers were able to detain the driver and he was identified as Mr. Fleenor. After failing sobriety testing Mr. Fleenor was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $32,000 bond. An arraignment hearing is set for 01:30 p.m. on 03/05/18 in Washington County Court.
