On 1/26/18, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Zachary Freeman (21 years old, of Johnson City), and charged him with three counts of selling marijuana, possession of marijuana for resale, possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia, four counts of violating the drug-free school zone law, and maintaining a dwelling where narcotics are kept or sold.
The arrest stems from an investigation into the distribution of marijuana. During the investigation, Mr. Freeman sold marijuana to an individual working on law enforcement’s behalf on three occasions. On 1/26/18, investigators executed a search warrant at Mr. Freeman’s residence. Additional marijuana was found during the search, and Mr. Freeman was placed under arrest.
Freeman was transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he was being held in lieu of a $81,000 bond. He is scheduled for arraignment on 1/29/18 at 9:00 A.M. in Washington County General Sessions Court.
