On 01/03/18, Officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Robert Rigsby (2516 Clover St, 26 years old) and Kelsey Gentry (2516 Clover St, 23 years old) and charged them both with Auto Burglary and Theft over $1000.
On 01/02/17, at approximately 10:30 a.m. officers responded to 3105 Hanover Rd in reference to an auto burglary. It was discovered by the victim, that a metal break, had been taken from a work truck that was parked at the business overnight. Video surveillance showed a red Dodge pickup pull into the lot at approximately 3:00 a.m. on the morning of 01/02/18 and a white male stole the equipment. A passenger in the truck was also visible. Later that evening, officers spotted the vehicle on W Market St and conducted a traffic stop. As a result of the investigation, the suspects were identified as Rigsby and Gentry. The stolen equipment was recovered on at their residence of 2516 Clover St.
Rigsby and Gentry were arrested and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where both are being held in lieu of a $15,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 01/04/18, at 1:30 p.m. in Washington County Sessions Court.
