On 11/26/17, Officer of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Marcus Cardwell, 510 Crown St., 19 years old, and charged him with Auto Theft. At approximately 5:00 a.m., officers completed a traffic stop of a stolen vehicle in the area of Earnest St. and W Maple St. The owner of the vehicle reported that vehicle stolen on 11/25/17, at approximately 4:30 a.m. Officers identified the driver of the vehicle as Mr. Cardwell. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $5,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 9:00 a.m. on 11/27/17, in Washington County Sessions Court.
