The Johnson City Police Department arrested Marcus Carter (137 Martin Luther King Blvd, Bristol, 27 yrs old) on 07/12/17 and charged him with Possession of Stolen Property over $10,000. The arrest stems from an investigation into a suspicious vehicle at Daytona Court on 06/18/17. Mr. Carter, along with Tina Stipes and Billy Heaton, were found to be inside a 2017 Subaru Forester on Daytona Ct. On 06/18/17 at approximately 4:00 am. The vehicle had dealer tags from Wallace Imports in Bristol, TN, but Officers on scene were unable to make contact with staff at the business so they had it towed to the police impound lot. Follow-up calls to be business confirmed it had been stolen from the lot earlier that night. Mr. Carter is being held in the Washington County Detention Center in lieu of a $10,000 bond. He is schedule for Arraignment in General Sessions Court on 07/13/17 at 10:30 am. Tina Stipes and Billy Heaton are still wanted in connection with this incident.
