On 6/29/17, the Johnson City Police Department arrested Thomas Edward Evans (106 Osborne Rd. #33, 30 years old) and charged him with fifteen counts of Identity Theft and fifteen counts of Theft of Property under $1000.00. The arrest is the result of two separate investigations in which the victims stated that their debit/credit cards were stolen then used several times in Johnson City at different locations. Mr. Evans was located at his residence and placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $167,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 10:30 a.m. on 6/30/17 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
