On 3/1/2017, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Joshua Heft (141 E Market St, 43 years old) and charged him with Felony Vandalism and Public Intoxication.
At approximately 12:51 a.m. officers responded to 300 E Main St (Johnson City Brewing Company) in reference to their front window being broken. A witness stated that he heard glass breaking and looked over and Heft was the only person in the immediate area.
Officers located Heft at 100 W. Millard St (Johnson City Public Library). The suspect appeared to be under the influence and could not stand very well on his own and his speech was slurred. It was determined that Heft had thrown a rock through the window valued at over $1,000.
Heft was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $10,500 bond. Arraignment is scheduled for 3/1/17 at 1:30 pm in Washington County General Sessions Court
