On 02/03/17, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Frederick Alan Reedy (315 Brown Lane, Erwin TN., 46 years old) and charged him with Attempted Second Degree Murder.

 

At approximately 3:00 a.m., officers responded to the area of W. Main St. and Commerce St. in reference to a reported stabbing. Witnesses reported that an verbal altercation had taken place between Reedy and the victim while inside Numan’s – 223 E. Main St. Both parties were required to leave the business as a result of the incident. After going outside Reedy then was reported to have attacked the victim. Reedy had a knife and the victim sustained several stab wounds during the altercation. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries and later released. Witnesses had observed the Reedy flee the area on foot and advised responding officers of his description and direction of travel.

 

Police located Reedy, who had blood on him, a short distance away in the downtown area of Johnson City. He was detained and transported to the police department for further questioning. Reedy was later placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $200,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 02/06/17 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
