On 01/23/17, at approximately 10:30 am, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Alyssa L Poland, 32 year old female, 254 Telford School Rd, Telford, TN, for Prescription Forgery, Obtaining drugs falsely, Simple Possession Sch VI, Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia and Shoplifting. Officers responded to 3019 Peoples St ( K Mart) in reference to prescription fraud. The investigation revealed the suspect Alyssa L Poland was in possession of a forged prescription in the name of a doctor from a local physician’s office, and did attempt to fill the narcotic prescription fraudulently. Upon searching the suspect she was found to have clothing concealed in her purse belonging to K-Mart, along with a small baggie of green leafy substance preliminarily identified as marijuana, and a pill grinder that she admitted was used for illicit drug use. Ms. Poland was transported to the Washington County Detention Center and is being held in lieu of a $14,000 bond with an arraignment in Washington County General Sessions Court on 01/24/17, at 1:30 pm.
