On 10/31/16, the Johnson City Police Department arrested Jeffrey Scalf (559 4th Ave., Jonesborough, 28 years old) and charged him with criminal simulation.
The arrest comes as a result of an ongoing investigation into multiple counterfeit bills that were passed at various Johnson City convenience stores on 9/19/16.
On 10/31/16, Scalf was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 11/1/16 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
