On 10/29/16, the Johnson City Police Department arrested Harley Lynn Nickles (Johnson City, 20 years old) and charged her forgery (2 cts.), theft under $500 (2 cts.), and identity theft.
The investigation was initiated after a bank contacted the victim about a suspicious check. The victim advised his bank that that his checks were missing from his residence that was undergoing remodeling. The investigation revealed that Nickles was the individual attempting to cash the check.
On 10/29/16, Harley Lynn Nickles was transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where she is being held in lieu of a $14,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 10/31/16 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
