On Sunday, August 14, 2016 Christopher D Wayman, 19, 1723 Bandy Rd, Ashland City, TN was arrested by the Johnson City Police Department and charged with aggravated robbery. The arrest stems from a report filed by the victim at the police department on the same date.
The victim reported that he had met Wayman online and agreed to meet with him at a local hotel. The victim arrived and shortly after Wayman brandished a baseball bat and demanded his wallet. The victim left the scene and called 911 prior to arriving at the police department to file a report.
Wayman was located at the hotel and positively identified by the victim. Wayman was the transported to the police department where he was Mirandized and interviewed. Wayman then confessed to the robbery and he was placed in custody and transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he is being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond. He was scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on August 15, 2016 at 1:30pm.
