On 6/6/16, the Johnson City Police Department arrested Richard Jenny (1717 Sherri Hill, Johnson City, TN, 38 years old) and charged him with aggravated burglary and simple assault.
On 6/1/16, officers of the Johnson City Police Department responded to a disturbance at a residence on Mercury St. in Johnson City. Officers had been to the residence on several occasions during the day in reference to Richard Jenny coming to the residence and making threats to kill the victim. Jenny was armed with a knife during the incidents and forced his way into the residence and assaulted the victim. Jenny left the scene before officers arrived. Jenny returned a third time and was attempted to attempt force his way into the home again. As a result of Jenny’s actions, the victim stabbed him to keep him from entering. Jenny was located by officers and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
On 6/6/16, Richard Jenny was released from the hospital and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $21,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 6/7/16 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
