On June 04, 2016 at about 3:53 pm., officers of the Johnson City Police Department responded to a multiple vehicle crash on E. Main St. near Ferrell Dr. Upon arrival, officers found that a 1995 Ford Mustang had been traveling east on E. Main St. at a high rate of speed near Ferrell Dr. The Ford Mustang crossed the double-yellow line into oncoming traffic and sideswiped a 2005 Lincoln Towne Car, being driven by 25 year old Desirae Mashburn of Johnson City, TN, then continued east and struck a 2005 Toyota Camry head-on, being driven by 36 year old Joshua Lodico, Elizabethton, TN, before going off the roadway to the left, down a steep embankment and coming to a rest on its top. A passenger in the Ford Mustang received fatal injuries during the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger is identified as 24 year old Michael C. Conley, 114 Vanover Rd., Johnson City, TN. The driver of the Ford Mustang fled the crash scene on foot. The driver of the Toyota Camry and a 7 year old male were transported to Johnson City Medical Center Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the Lincoln Towne Car and her passenger were not injured. The investigation is ongoing and being conducted by the Johnson City Police Department Traffic Homicide Team.
