On Monday, May 30th, 2016, at approximately 2230 hours, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested 27 year old Solita D. Davis, currently residing in Elizabethton, TN, on charges of 2 counts of Identity Theft and Shoplfting (Under $500). The arrest was the result of an investigation that identified Ms. Davis as the suspect that stole 80 items from the Dollar Tree without attempting to render proper payment for those items. Ms. Davis also attempted to use the identities of 2 of her family members before providing her actual identity to officers. Ms. Davis was arrested and transported to the Washington County Detention Center where she is currently being held on a $21,000 bond with an arraignment set for Tuesday, May 31st, 2016, 1:30 pm, in Washington County General Sessions Court.
