On 12/15/15, the Johnson City Police Department arrested Grady Carr (1414 Orleans St., Johnson City, 71 years old) and charged him with false reporting and fraudulent insurance claims.
On 10/21/15, Carr reported a theft of firearms from his residence. An investigation revealed information leading investigators to believe that Carr filed the report as part of an attempt to falsely claim almost $2,700 from his insurance company.
On 12/15/15, Carr was arrested and booked into the Washington County Detention Center, where he was being held in lieu of a $15,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear at 1:30 p.m. on 12/16/15 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
