On 12/12/15, the Johnson City Police Department arrested Tina Rose Akins (Limestone, TN., 36 years old) and charged her with theft of property over $1,000 and (3 cts.) contributing to the delinquency of a child.
On 9/29/15, officers were contacted by employees from Mahoney’s Outfitters, 830 Sunset Dr. in reference to a female subject that was in the store. She was with a juvenile male subject that was removing several trail cameras from their packaging. Akins would then pick up the cameras and conceal them in her clothing. Both subjects then left the business without paying. On 12/9/15, Tina Rose Akins came back in Mahoney’s. She was with a juvenile male subject and a juvenile female. The juvenile male selected a trail camera and cut it out of the packaging. Akins then concealed the camera and left the store without paying.
On 12/12/15, police located Tina Rose Akins staying at a hotel in Johnson City. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where she is being held in lieu of a $13,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 12/14/15 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
