On 12/9/15, the Johnson City Police Department arrested Charles L. Bright (718 Frances St, Johnson City, 18 years old), Caleb Z. Jones (806 Hamilton St, Johnson City, 18 years old), and Anthony T. Sams (626 Hamilton St, Johnson City, 18 years old) charging them with aggravated robbery. Caleb Z. Jones was also charged with simple possession of schedule VI and possession of a prohibited weapon.
On 12/9/15, officers responded to a robbery of two individuals at the intersection of Franklin St. and Virginia St. A cell phone was stolen during the robbery and the phone was tracked by the victim to the area of Walgreen’s, 429 N. State of Franklin Rd. Officer’s contacted three individuals in the parking lot who matched the description of the assailants. The cell phone was found to be in possession of one of the subjects that the officers encountered.
On 12/9/15, Charles S Bright, Caleb Z Jones, and Anthony T. Sams were arrested and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where Sams and Bright are being held in lieu of a $50,000 bond and Jones is being held in lieu of a bond of $52,000. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 12/10/15 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
