On 12/05/15, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Austin R. Warrick (129 Witcher Street, Erwin, TN 37650; 23 years old) and charged him with one count of Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia, Possession without a Prescription, and Possession with Intent to Sell Schedule IV.
Just before 1:00 p.m., officers responded to a trespassing call at Motel 6, 207 E. Mountcastle Drive. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the clerk who advised that persons were staying in an unpaid-for room. Upon making contact with the occupants, one of which was Mr. Warrick, officers discovered multiple syringes in plain view on the floor and table. Upon an extensive search of the room, officers found more syringes, a large amount of baggies, six glass pipes, a straw, a digital scale, and a small bag of methamphetamine. In addition to the items found in the room, Mr. Warrick was found to have a prescription bottle in his pocket that contained Suboxone (individually packaged) and Clonazepam.
Mr. Warrick was placed under arrest and transported to Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $12,000 bond. His arraignment hearing is set for 1:30 p.m. on 12/07/15 in Washington County’s General Sessions Court.
