On 11-22-15, at approximately 12:20 a.m., officers of the Johnson City Police Department responded to 2679 Peoples St., Apt 806, in reference to an aggravated burglary. Upon arrival officers made contact with two individuals inside apartment 806 who reported that a male subject known to them had broken out a front window of the apartment, climbed inside through the window, and assaulted one of the occupants. The male subject, identified as Ronnie Martin, 24 yrs old, 748 Pritchard Dr., Morristown TN, ran from the scene prior to officer’s arrival.
At approximately, 4:00 a.m., the Morristown Police Department was notified that a warrant had been issued for Mr. Martin charging him with aggravated burglary and simple assault (domestic related). Within the hour, the Morristown Police Department had taken Mr. Martin in custody at his residence and transported him to the Hamblen County Jail where officers of the Johnson City Police Department took custody of him. Mr. Martin was transported back to the Washington County Detention Center where he was booked in. He is currently out on bond awaiting a preliminary hearing in Washington County General Sessions Court.
