On 11/12/15, the Johnson City Police Department arrested Jason Wayne Smith (34 yrs old, 404 Smokey Hill Dr. Blountville) and charged him with Burglary and Theft of Property over $10,000. The arrest stems from an investigation into a burglary of a house under construction located at 2752 Knob Creek Rd. Jason Wayne Smith was found to be in possession of tools stolen from the Knob Creek residence at the Jonesborough Flea Market. This, along with other factors in the investigation, led Investigators to believe that Mr. Smith committed the burglary. Mr. Smith is being housed in the Washington County Detention Center in lieu of a $20,000 bond. He is scheduled for Arraignment in General Sessions Court on 11/13/15 at 10:30 am.
