On 10/15/2015, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Austin C. Castle (720 Ordnance Drive, Church Hill, Tennessee; 19 years old) and charged him with Aggravated Burglary, Attempted Rape and Simple Assault.
At approximately 1:57 a.m., officers responded to 109 Terrace Court in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a female resident who stated that Castle forced himself upon her in attempt to have sex. A neighbor, hearing the altercation, rushed into the female victim’s apartment to intervene, thus allowing the victim to flee to the neighbor’s apartment. After assaulting the intervening neighbor, Castle gave chase to the female victim and assaulted another resident in the apartment she was hiding in.
Police arrested Castle at the scene and transported him to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $70,000 bond. His arraignment is set for 10/15/2015 at 1:30 p. m. in Washington County’s General Session Court.
