On 7/18/2015 officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Brian Lipford, a 30 year old male of 108 Dyer Street, Johnson City, TN, on the charge of False Reporting. During the investigation of a hit and run accident that occurred on 7/1/15, the defendant knowingly made a report and provided false information to police. The defendant later retracted his story and confessed to purposefully giving false information and a warrant was issued for his arrest. He was taken into custody on the charge of False Reporting and is being held in the Washington County Detention Center on $10,000 bond pending a court hearing on 7/20/2015 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
