On Tuesday, July 14th, 2015 at approximately 11:11 P.M., officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested 45 year old w/f, Melinka Cathell, of 2822 W Walnut St, Apt. 14, Johnson City, TN. The arrest was made after officers responded to an assault at her residence. During a brief investigation it was found that Cathell threw a glass striking the victim in the head, causing a laceration. Cathell was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault - Domestic. Cathell was transported to the Washington County Detention Center where she has a bond of $10,000, and is scheduled to appear in Washington County General Sessions Court on Wednesday, July 15th, 2015 at 1:30 p.m.
