On 5/21/15, at approximately 5:00 p.m., Investigators with the Johnson City Police Department arrested Danny Ray Clark (245 Riggs Rd., Watauga, 59 years old) charging him with embezzlement over $10,000.
On 4/29/15, an investigation began regarding stolen brass fixtures from the City of Johnson City Water and Sewer Department. The investigation revealed that over the course of a year, Clark stole over 1,200 pounds of brass fittings and fixtures from the Johnson City Water Department. It was determined that Clark sold the brass fittings to various metal recycling dealers in the region.
On 5/21/15, Clark was arrested and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 10:00 a.m. on 5/22/15 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
