SUBJECT: Imitation Controlled Substance/Identity Theft DATE: 05/07/2015 TIME: 3:00 p.m.
PREPARED BY: Officer Chris Arbaugh APPROVED BY: Sergeant Reggie Sparks
On 05/07/15, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Kara L Tate (162 Francisco Ln, Church Hill, TN, 29 years old) charging her with Imitation Controlled Substance and Identity Theft, and Larry K Huddle (265 Rock Springs Rd, Kingsport, TN, 45 years old) charging him with Imitation Controlled Substance.
The arrests stem from an investigation of a domestic disturbance at the Dunkin Donuts, 607 Twin Oaks Dr. During the investigation Tate provided false information regarding her identity.
While speaking with Tate she told officers that Huddle had drugs in the vehicle. Huddle consented to a search of the vehicle and its contents, during which a large amount of a white crystal substance possibly “Gravel” was discovered hidden under the floor mat in the rear passenger compartment. Both Tate and Huddle acknowledged that the white crystal substance was “Gravel” but stated it was not theirs.
Tate and Huddle were arrested and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where they are being held in lieu of a $12,000 and $1,000 bond respectively. Arraignment is set for 10:30 a.m. on 05/08/15 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
