On 4/21/15, investigators of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Leslie Denise Grindstaff (505 West Highland Avenue, 45 years old) charging her with felony shoplifting over $500.
On 4/6/15, officers responded to a shoplifting that occurred at 3211 Peoples Street, Old Navy. Grindstaff was on surveillance video selectively picking merchandise that did not have a sensor and placing the items in a bag. After a few minutes, she left the store without paying for any of the clothing.
On 4/21/15, Grindstaff was served with a warrant for her arrest at the Washington County Detention Center where she is being detained on unrelated charges. She is being held in lieu of a $5,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 4/22/15 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
