On 04/12/18, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Michael Hill (242 Painter Rd., Fall Branch, TN., 31 years old) and charged him with hindering a secured creditor.

On 04/09/18, officers responded to The Cash Company located at 2212 N. Roan St. Suite 5 Johnson City, TN., in reference to a reported fraud. Michael Hill came into the business and took out a cash loan for $300.00. He used his Volkswagen Jetta to secure the loan with the business. Since the loan was taken out, on 05-31-17, only one payment was ever made. Michael Hill then traded the vehicle he used to secure the loan to a third party. The Cash Company was unable to recover the vehicle to repossess it due to Hill’s nonpayment.

On 04/12/18, Michael Hill was located and arrested for hindering a secured creditor. Hill was already in the Washington County Detention Center on unrelated charges. An additional $5000.00 was added to his bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 04/13/18 in Washington County General Sessions Court.

On 04/19/2018, Officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Cornelius Rollins Jr, 56 years old, 907 Antioch Rd # 37, and charged him with Aggravated Robbery from two separate incidents.

Rollins was previously arrested on 4/13/2018 for armed robbery of Check into Cash.   Earlier that morning at approximately 0350, officers responded to a robbery of two individuals at 106 South Commerce Street in front of Mid City Grill.   As two patrons were outside they were approached by a male suspect fitting Rollins description who demanded their car keys and other items.  The suspect fled on foot taking money and other property belonging to the victims.  Following additional interviews of the victims from the Mid City Grill robbery, Rollins was determined to be a suspect in that robbery and was charged on 04/19/2018.

Last year, on 10/13/2017, at 530 am, officers responded to the Roadrunner gas station at 2607 South Roan Street on a reported robbery of the business. An employee stated a male suspect entered the store with an object that she believed to be a gun and committed the robbery. The suspect was wearing a ski mask over his face at the time and fled on foot with stolen money from the business. Investigators recovered the ski mask on Arbor Drive, not far from the scene of the robbery.   That mask, along with other evidence, was sent off to the TBI lab for DNA analysis. On 04/19/2018, the analysis report was completed from the TBI.  DNA from the ski mask was matched to Cornelius Rollins Jr.  Rollins was then charged with Aggravated Robbery on 04/19/2018.

Rollins has a $50,000 bond on each Aggravated Robbery warrant and is in the Washington County Detention Center.
