On 2/04/15, Officers with the Johnson City Police Department arrested Kaleb Brook Morelock (2447 Beech Creek Rd., Rogersville, TN, 20 years of age) on charges of Theft over $10,000.
On 1/16/15, Officers with the Johnson City Police Department received a report of a Theft at 920 N. State of Franklin Rd. The victim advised that during the evening hours the previous day, someone stole 2 GPS Grading Pods and a battery from construction equipment at the site. The Pods and battery are approximately worth $32,100. On 2/2/15, two subjects attempted to sell the stolen pods to a construction company in Knoxville. Continued investigation of the two suspects led to the defendant and another subject. The defendant was located and after questioning, the pods were located and recovered.
On 2/4/15, the defendant was arrested and transported to the Washington Co. Detention Center and charged with Theft over $10,000. He was held on a $10,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, 2/4/15 at 1330 in Washington Co. General Sessions court.
Updated Information:
On 2/6/15, Investigators with the JCPD arrested James Adam Gosnell (202 Thurman Rd. Rogersville, TN, 22 years of age) on charges of Theft of Property over $10,000.
The investigation into this case revealed that James Gosnell was also involved in the same thefts that Kaleb Brook Morelock was arrested for on February 4, 2015. A warrant was obtained and served on him at the Washington Co. Detention Center. His bond was set at $10,000 and he was scheduled to appear in Washington Co. General Sessions court on 2/9/15 at 1330.
