On 01/28/15 officers of the Erwin Police Department took into custody Zachery Alexander Smith-Lyon, 21 years of age, from Erwin TN., on a warrant issued by the Johnson City Police Department for attempted first degree murder.
The arrest is the result of an investigation into a stabbing that occurred at the Miller Crest Apartments, 1060 Ingleside Terrace, Johnson City, TN., on 10/16/14. The victim was attacked and stabbed multiple times with a knife resulting in injuries to his head, arms, and body. The victim was taken to the Johnson City Medical Center to receive treatment for his injuries and was later released.
On 01/28/15 information was received from the Erwin Police Department about a possible location where Mr. Smith-Lyon could be found. Mr. Smith-Lyon was located and arrested without incident in Erwin, TN. He was then transported back to the Washington County Detention Center where he is being held in lieu of a $100,000.00 bond. A preliminary court date has been set in General Sessions Court in Jonesborough for 01/29/15 at 9:00 a.m.
