On 12/16/14, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested three female juveniles and charged them each with one count of Theft over $500 and one count of Theft under $500.
Officers were dispatched to The Mall at Johnson City, 2011 N. Roan Street and found all three juvenile females detained by JC Penny’s loss prevention employees. According to the employees, the females placed $610, respectively, worth of merchandise in shopping bags and exited the business without paying for the items. Employees also discovered $175 worth of stolen merchandise from Forever 21 in their possession. Merchandise from four other stores was recovered but those stores declined to prosecute. As a result, the three female juveniles were placed under arrest and transported to the Johnson City Juvenile Detention Center, where they are being held until an appearance in Juvenile Court. Their arraignment hearings are set for 09:00 a.m. on 12/17/14 in Johnson City’s Juvenile Court.
