On 10/26/14, at approximately 3:55 p.m., officers of the Johnson City Police Department responded to the area of W. State of Franklin Road and Mountain Home Drive on a report of a train versus pedestrian incident. The victim, through fingerprint analysis, was identified as Chad Perry (115 Cove View Rd., Unicoi, 37 years old). The victim was walking west on the railroad tracks, just west of Jack Vest Dr., when the train, traveling in the same direction, struck him from behind. The Johnson City Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division is continuing to investigate the incident.
